Reviews for Le 2 Aquile
Review highlights
Based on 1,120 reviewsLe 2 Aquile is widely praised for its authentic Barese cuisine, emphasizing traditional seafood dishes and well-prepared pasta, particularly the popular spaghetti all'assassina. Reviewers commonly note the freshness of ingredients and balanced flavors, with desserts like tiramisu and ricotta cake receiving special mention. The restaurant's lively yet family-friendly atmosphere, coupled with reasonable prices, contributes to its strong local appeal. Booking in advance is often recommended due to its popularity, and while the menu may be primarily in Italian, guests generally appreciate the accommodating and friendly staff. Overall, Le 2 Aquile is celebrated for offering an authentic, flavorful dining experience favored by both locals and visitors alike.
Traditional Barese food in a family friendly bistro style restaurant. We were with a local so he ordered off menu, we had a pile of fried seafood, anchovies, sardines, calamari. And the pasta dish Assassino was perfectly spiced and al dente. The dessert amazing, a light fluffy ricotta cake. The paccheri pasta, soft and light contrasted with the slight crunch of the al dente spaghetti. The olives seemed like they were flash fried and sweet. So good. The only thing is the restaurant is a little bit bright for our taste. Super bright. But other than that, we loved our meal. And the service was perfect, friendly, lovely.
Really delicious spaghetti all'assassina. I would recommend booking in advance.
Excellent local food at reasonable prices. We went there recommended by locals, and it was definitely worth it.The salads were very fresh and tasty (insalata di polpo and insalata di buffala), and the primo piato we took were both big and very tasty (spaghetti a la assesina and orecchiette a la crema). We took a tiramisu for dessert, also excellent.Super recommended, the staff is also very friendly which always adds to the experience. When we go back to Bari we will definitely come back to this place. Top!
This place was buzzing both during lunch and dinner. Was walking near here, smelled food…. And realised I was hungry. They managed to accommodate me, and thankfully they did as it turned out to be my favourite restaurant in Bari.Over a few days I visited three times and every time was as enjoyable as the last.Seafood spaghetti was my goto, although the starters and desserts were all delicious.Quick, attentive and friendly service on top… and you have somewhere that I will highly recommend to friends.Thank you!
This was the best meal we had in Italy. Very fresh tasty food, the tempura prawns were excellent as was the Tiramisu. Best value we had. It was full of local Italians not tourists.... That tells a lot. No English on the menu but we managed OK.
I finally made it here to try their famous Soaghetti all’assassina, which are cooked in tomato sauce and not in water. Just wow!Service was friendly and the food just tasty.
On the first day we got to this cozy restaurant and didn't look for anything else. Excellent cuisine, unique atmosphere, helpful and nice staff. The chef of the kitchen is just a wizard! See you next time!
Such welcoming and accommodating owner! He made mefeel home in Bari, and yet also very professional to oversee how my dinner was going in detail.Really appreciated!
